Privacy policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy explains how REIS Group collects and uses personal data when you visit reisgroup.uk, write to us or subscribe to our newsletter, and what rights you have.
Who we are
The website is run by [legal entity name], a company registered in [country] under number [company number], with its registered office at [registered address] (“REIS Group”, “we”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. ICO registration number: [number]. You can reach us at info@reisgroup.uk or through the contact page.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries: when you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the topic, the subject and your message. We use them to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation, because we have a legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or because you asked us to take steps before a contract.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address, your name if you give it, your language and a record of your consent (when and where you gave it). You confirm the subscription by email first. We use these details only to send the newsletter, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every email.
- Project study requests: if you ask for a project study under the investment calculator, we store your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the project, amount and period you chose with the example figures shown to you, your choices on the form and when you made them, your language, the page you sent it from and a one-way coded form of your network address. We use them to email you a link to the study and to follow up on your request [lawful basis to be confirmed by our lawyer]. We send news about future opportunities only if you tick that separate box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
- Protection against misuse: to limit automated messages, we store a one-way coded form of your network address with each enquiry. It cannot be turned back into the address.
- Cookies and analytics: necessary cookies keep the site working; analytics cookies are used only if you allow them. See our cookie policy.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
- Investor sign-in: the investor area is not open yet. What you type into its sign-in form is not sent to us or stored.
Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract: our hosting provider [name and location], our email delivery provider Resend (newsletter, study emails and form notifications) and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics). We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the United Kingdom
Some of these providers store or process data outside the United Kingdom, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum. [Transfer safeguard to be confirmed for each provider.]
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: as long as we need to deal with your request, and then for up to [24 months].
- Project study requests: 24 months, then deleted automatically. The download link in the study email works for 7 days.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email address on a do-not-send list, so we never email you again by mistake.
- Server logs: up to [30 days].
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask us to move it to another provider and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@reisgroup.uk; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Our site and services are not aimed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
